Where It All Started

Hi, I'm Cathy — and I've been sewing for as long as I can remember.

It started the way most great things do: quietly, in a small room, with a sewing machine, a pile of fabric, and a little girl twirling in front of a mirror. That little girl was my daughter. And the look on her face when she wore something I made just for her — that was the moment I knew this was more than a hobby. It was a calling.

What began as a labor of love for my own family slowly grew into something I couldn't keep to myself. Friends started asking. Then their friends. Then strangers on the internet. And here we are.

What We Make

At Cathy Seamstress, every single piece is handmade — by me, in my studio, from scratch. No factories. No assembly lines. No cutting corners.

I specialize in beautiful summer dresses for girls — the kind that feel light as air and look like something out of a storybook. Twirly skirts, soft fabrics, delicate details. Dresses that make little girls feel like the magical creatures they already are.

But I don't stop there. If you can dream it, I can sew it. From custom pieces to seasonal styles, I love taking on new projects and bringing ideas to life. Every order is a new story, and I take great pride in making sure yours is told well.
